Monday Musings – Poetic Lines

‘The snow had turned to rain. A flock of black umbrellas opended almost at once.’

From: ‘Her Fearful Symmetry’, by Audrey Niffenegger

I really loved these lines, especially the ‘flock of black umbrellas’. This particular scene is set in the courtyard of Highgate Cemetary and the use of words is so appropriate.
